These letters are very sweet. I love the part of writing to all the members of the Monkees. I sure wish I could have met him not to mention to have had the opportunity to know him.

He was an amazing man that offered me a place to feel grounded when I had no other family who wanted me. Not feeling sorry for myself, but saying what is true. When I read through some of my letters, I realize that I must have been much sadder than I had remembered. Just to think that I actually counted the days since the last time my real dad and step mom had been to see me at Christie School. And I was so excited to see my real mom.

By the way, she did come to see me. And she did bring me a guitar, and also a stuffed yellow lion and a green doll that was a pajama bag.
